Who we are

BangOn is a football score prediction game available at bangon.org. It is operated by StripyCat Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. BangOn is a private, invite‑only game.

Information we collect

When you register for BangOn, we collect your email address, a username you choose, and optional profile information such as favourite team and favourite nation. We also store your score predictions for each gameweek and any group memberships you join or create. We also collect basic technical information automatically, such as browser type, device type, and IP address, for security and service operation.

How we use your information

We use your data solely to operate and improve the game — to authenticate your account, display your predictions, scores, and leaderboard position, manage private groups, and send transactional emails such as verification and password reset messages. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.

Third-party service providers

We use Supabase (EU — Ireland) for authentication and database storage, Vercel for hosting and content delivery, Resend for transactional email delivery, and Google AdSense for advertising. These providers process your data only as necessary to deliver their services and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.

Cookies

BangOn uses a session cookie to keep you logged in, and cookies set by Google AdSense for ad delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and measurement. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Data retention

Your account and all associated data — including predictions, profile information, and group memberships — are retained for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Account Settings. Deletion is immediate and complete; no data is retained afterwards.

Advertising & Google AdSense

BangOn displays advertising provided by Google AdSense. Google and other third‑party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. BangOn does not use your personal data for advertising targeting — any personalisation is controlled solely by Google.

Your rights (UK GDPR)
